Joseph Medeiros, 78, of Middle Street, Pawtucket passed away October 22, 2020 at home. He was the beloved companion of Brenda Arocho, who made him incredibly happy and filled his life with much laughter.
Joe had a career as a machinist for many years before retiring, and worked over 20 years at Gold Machinery. He was also an avid fisherman, trolling the Narragansett Bay, ever-seeking the elusive striped bass of legend. Joe had been a member of the Eagles Club in E. Providence.
He was the father of Joseph Medeiros and his wife Alison, Lori Ohliger and her husband Robert, and Paul Medeiros and his wife Karen; and grandfather of Jocelyn, Deidre, Thomas, Buddy, Joel, Peter, Matthew, Jonathan, Courtney & Logan; and a great grandfather of 9. He was the husband of the late Helen M. (Keefe) Duckworth, and former husband of Patricia A. (Audet) Moore.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Mary (Rezendes) Medeiros. He was also the brother of Paul Medeiros of FL, and Marilyn Whittet of E. Providence, RI.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 2:00PM - 5:00 PM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. During visitation, masks, social distancing and occupancy restrictions will be observed.
